Bday Bash

So it was my birthday this past weekend and this is the first birthday that Jared and I have been able to spend together that has not been on finals week where Jared used to have 4 finals he had to take on my birthday. The past 3 birthdays I have spent either with my girlfriends or on the couch watching movies. So needless to say I was so so so so so happy that my birthday was on a Saturday and that Jared has graduated from school and had NO finals to take so we could spend the WHOLE day together!

I thought it would be fun to spend the day getting all the freebies that food place and entertainment places give to you on your birthday. Several places I had to sign up for email notifications but still it was awesome, I got so excited about it that I had a schedule and folder with all the certificates in it. I like to be organized so it was fun for me to make our daily schedule.
Here is how the wonderful day went.

-Pedicures and manicures
-Dropped the car off to be deatiled inside and out/oil changed- This is about the time I realized I left my phone at the mani/pedi place- I was pretty much dying without it the whole day- you never realize how much you depend on it , even trying to find Jared in a store I had to go searching.
-Shopped at Kohls- which just so happened to be having a power hour sale and we got a ton of clothes for really good prices. The lady at checkout said that if we said that she was my friend she would give us 20% off our whole purchase! haha it was awesome! I also had $10 Kohls cash and a $5 off coupon. I was able to get 4 new shirts, and 2 cute fashion belts, and Jared got 4 new pairs of jeans with 4 belts.
-Picked the car up (which looked FABULOUS after being detailed) and headed to Walmart and Target to do some last minute Christmas shopping and errands! We are finally done shopping for Christmas! Yeah!
- Ate appetizers at BJ's Restaurant and got my FREE gluten-free Pizookie dessert
- Shopped at Ross where I purchased 2 more shirts and a pair of trouser jeans which look so proffessional and cute and I also bought my very first pairs of SKINNY JEANS!!! Weird I know, I bought them for the sole purpose of wearing these cute knee high boots that I bought on amazon( which have yet to come I might mention), I just can't get used to the fact of wearing them on my short stubby legs by themselves. But I got them for $13 bucks each. I LOVE ROSS!
- We then went to a few other stores- Steinmart, Famous Footwear, etc.
- DSW- have you ever been to DSW shoes? Oh my I wish I had never known it existed because I will be going there all the time now because I love their shoes. So so so so so many cute high heels, flats, boots, slippers, its a girl candy store! Jared bought me two shoes there last week and we went back on my bday and I tried on all sorts of shoes but I couldn't find one that fit what I was looking for exactly. I found all sorts of others that I wanted but I was on a mission for a certain type of shoe. I bought slippers instead ;) Jared found some he liked though.
- We then met my fmaily at Red Robin and had my free bday burger and ice cream sundae- although by the time the ice cream sundae came I was so sick of food I couldn't even look at it let alone take a bite.
- We then headed to the movies with my little brother and his girlfriend where I got my free movie ticket ( w/entertainment book coupon) we saw Tower Heist. It was good, but not buy worthy.
We did however have more coupons mostly for free food but like I said our stomachs could only handle so much. We paid for it on Sunday the next day by staying home sick all day.

My wonderful wonderful husband who is the best at gift giving! Bought me the most beautiful Jewelry box ever! Picture below with all the features- I can't get a picture of it opened up but it is so wonderful I go to bed at night and fall asleep staring at it because I love it so much!

Thanksgiving on the Beach

This year we rented a beach house in Santa Cruz for Thanksgiving with my side of the family. It has been so nice relaxing, sleeping in, playing volleyball on the beach, and building sand castles. We took some family pictures- here are my favorites.

This picture below i didn't know was being taken but is really funny because these beams are located under a railroad track which also serves as a bridge. We had to climb up to the beams and then it dropped off into a gully type of area. for some reason as soon as I got up and had to walk across a skinny beam i was really nervous and scared. there was a rusted knob that I was holding onto and wouldn't let go of. haha I was a baby, i just wanted to take the pictures and get down. I think this picture displays my emotions well.

We are having blast and will be hitting up the boardwalk tomorrow. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I sure have a lot to be grateful for in my life and it is all thanks to my Heavenly Father.

yes we are alive and yes we suck at blogging... Time is so jammed with everything and anything ahhh. here are a few pictures till i have some time to really blog

Jared working hard... this is what i usually see when i look over at him. ha!

We went to our family's cabin over conference weekend- here is my brother Cole about to jump into the freezing water. the high for the day for 59 degrees. No thank you!

We are on our work softball team- Jared Pitches I play 3rd base. the sprinklers came on last game and caused 3 game delays... we have won 1 of our 7 games. ;) I can't get the picture to rotate sry.

Pioneer Trek 2011

Jared and I had the wonderful opportunity to be Ma and Pa's on a Stake Pioneer Trek this past month. We walked about 20 miles ate about 1 lb of dirt, slept with insects and sweated all our body away. It was so much fun! We had 8 teenagers that were part of our family and we loved all of them. We were the youngest ma and pa which helped with relating to our family. When talking with others who have done a Trek before they were saying how awesome and wonderful it was, but once we got out there all I could like about is how HARD it was. Literally hard, sometimes it was hard to stay positive and to keep pushing... Let me tell you i have gained a much deeper appreciation and respect for our early ancestors the pioneers. They were amazing!

I have a hard time being dirty, I do not like dirty things, a house, a car, clothes. I take at least 1 shower a day and am constantly washing my hands, my face, my feet blah blah blah. By all means I love to have a good mud fight or food fight , if I can shower right after. It was VERY hard for me to go all day soaking my clothes in sweat and dirt then to sleep in those clothes to do it again the next day tromping through dirt and mud and water to sleep in those clothes again and then the next day hike the last few miles home. I went through a whole pack of baby wipes trying to keep at least my hands and face clean. I ended up changing into some shorts and shirt on the 2nd night because i couldn't handle the dirtiness... haha I can be such a baby. We had porta-potties so I was thankful. I didn't sleep very well because we had to keep our heads in our sleeping bags otherwise the mosquitoes would attack your face no matter how much repellent you put on. I even brought dryer sheets and set it right above my head and they didn't care. I think they were just so excited to have so much food to choose from with all of us there sleeping.

Anyways the food was great and the overall experience was awesome. To be able to gain a deeper testimony and appreciation of this gospel made every minute so worth it and so much fun. We were given a baby to care for and we named her Molly Mae.

So when we lived in Rexburg we met these lovely friends who we now miss dearly now that we don't live there anymore. My husband informed that our friends think I don't update our blog enough so they have to text/call my husband to find out what we are doing. This is so true because by the time I get home from work I don't feel like being on the computer cause that is where I am all day at work. So today I prepared and brought my camera to work with the cable hookup to upload to our blog just for our friends!!! Aren't you happy friends? This one is for you! ;)

Last week our work treated the entire company to a Disney Training Seminar. Our company is the top producer for Disney and so as a thank you they offered this seminar to our company for FREE!!!! Usually this seminar is around $1000 a person. As you can imagine I was super excited to go to Disneyland for the day. Jared has started full time with the company again so he was included on this training. We started the day with breakfast in the CAST only cafeteria, I am pretty sure I saw Pocahontas and Jasmines maidens while eating in here.

After the morning seminar of the history of Disney and their values as a company we then went to lunch and had a VIP tour of the Disney Dream Suite (above Pic, on the balcony) the Dream Suite is in the middle of Disneyland and can only be won, not booked. The day we went was the Cast Member day and they had an Employee staying the night with their family. Pretty cool huh? The rooms were literally magical, each room did something cool.
After the dream suite we took a tour of Walt Disney's apartment and had a quick version of the Leadership Training that Disney puts on and got to skip the lines and walk right onto Pirates of the Caribbean ride.(SWEET!)

I can't get this picture to rotate cause I don't know how- but we passed this shop on main street as we walked to our front row seating at the parade. Pretty special I am eh?

Here we are waiting for the parade to start, please notice the front row seating! It was a very bad idea to wear black on a hot day so we took our free shirts that we got and put them on our heads for some shade. Parade started below with a drum-line which was SO cool- you couldn't help but wave like a maniac at all the princesses and characters. It doesn't matter what age you are at Disneyland you can act like a kid and still get excited about Goofy and Mickey Mouse :).

We then had 3 hours to kill in the park before we had to catch a bus to the airport so we waited in line at Indian Jones and loved it. I think our next vacation will be to Disneyland, i forgot how much fun it was! We will definitely have to SAVE for this trip as Disney loves to eat all your money once you are in the park, but the place feels magical and fun and its so worth every penny. Anyone want to go to Disneyland next summer? :)

This week Jared and I are going on a TREK. We are Ma and Pa's and are in charge of 8 teenagers for 3 days where we push a handcart and dress like pioneers, sing songs and have a hoe-down. It is going to be a blast and I will be sure to post pics afterwards.

Vacations

Alright shame on me, I need to play catch up. I am bad about this blogging stuff. In June one of my bestest friends and old roommates left on a mission so us besties and roomies got together for a fun filled weekend in Sunny St George Utah.

This cutie is Calee's baby boy who was about 4 months at the time, he loved me and was so fun to play with and cuddle with all weekend.

We went and saw Grease at an outside theater which was WAY TOO awesome! It was a great performance.

It was such a blast and Kelsey is now gone and is serving in Texas. GO Kelsey!!

For the fourth of July my Honey Bun and I gathered lots of camping gear together and drove to Fort Stevens Oregon for a camping trip with all of Jared's family ( minus one who is serving in Iraq). There are 17 nieces and nephews and 6 siblings with 6 in-laws. It was so much fun! I will let the pictures do the talking.

We had so much stuff. We had planned to take our gas efficient smaller car but after looking at all the stuff we had we had to take the bigger car.

We got there a day early before our campsite opened up so we set up at our brothers site and just picked the tent up and moved it two sites down once ours opened.

Dental School

Hello Friends!
Well it has begun again, applications for Dental School. June 1 they opened and June 1 our application went in done! We feel good this time around and have faith that we will be able to get into the 2012 school season.We applied to 20 schools (all of which take a high number of out of state residents) I was so excited to have the application process done and finished and to have my husband back at his stress free self with nothing to worry about. I did however forget how much it costs to apply to dental school, this time around we applied to twice as many and therefore the cost was twice as much. I think I should take up a second job to pay for it GEEZE do they realize that we are young married and have no money already? And not to mention that cost is only the application not the tuition or equipment you use once you get in or the flights and hotels you book to do an interview. This Dental School stuff is expensive business, but it is worth it in the end when Jared will get to do what he loves and enjoys the most. Here is the list of schools we applied to hopefully we will be able to attend 1- at this point we could care less where we go as long as we are going somewhere and doing something.
The school, the state it is in, I do not know what the dates are there for.

Nicaragua!

Hello Friends... well we are almost done with our stressful period we will be applying to dental school on June 1st in only a few short weeks!! Yeah for us! My wonderful husband has been gone all week to Nicaragua on his Dental Humanitarian trip that he organized. He had so much fun pulling teeth, doing injections, cleaning and teaching the children how to keep good oral hygiene. Here are a few pictures

Arriving in Nicaragua- there were two dentists, 1 dental student who is almost finished and several pre-dental students, a few from BYU-Idaho!

Here he is helping out- he said so many of these children's teeth were just so badly decayed that when they tried to remove them they would just crumple. yicks, makes you want to go floss and brush really good.

Jared loved the children, and he had a great time but is excited to get back to prepare his application again.

My younger brother Kevin married the most wonderful girl in the world a few weeks ago- Gracie. We were privileged to go down to the San Diego Temple to be a part of their sealing. Here are a few pictures...
never mind it wont let me take some pictures from facebook so i have to wait to post those till Jared gets home. But we had a great time.
We are now looking forward to our camping trip coming up in July for a whole week with Jareds Family! Any cool camping ideas we should know about. This will be my first time planning and doing my own camping trip. YAY! I love it.

BUSY

Hello yes we are still alive- after moving to California it has been go go go.
I got a great full time job that has kept me busy and I love it. It is such a relief having a job that I like as compared to the last one I had ( yuck). Jared has been studying away to take his DAT in a month, he is also heading up and organizing a Dental Humanitarian trip to Nicaragua. He is extremely excited about it. He is keeping busy with his night class of physics his part time job studying for the DAT and organizing a trip- I am glad we do not have any childrenat this time because I can't imagine putting any more distractions or stress on my poor hubby.
He is the new Young Mens secretary which he is so excited about. Perfect calling for him. I am the primary pianist- so FUN! The days go by fast and the weeks are flying by. My brother will be getting married in a month and we are looking forward to that. I do not like a lot of words on my blog so here are some pictures...

Blah Blah Blah

WOW!!! What a slacker I am, when was the last time I posted? I can't even remember good thing it keeps track for me on here. Here is my excuse- too much is going on and everything is so busy. since my last update my brother got engaged, Jared graduated from BYU-Idaho, we left Rexburg Idaho forever, we went on a Christmas cruise to the Caribbean, we moved in with my parents in California, Jared and I both got jobs, Jared has a night Physics class, Jared is planning a Dental Humanitarian Trip to Nicaragua in May and preparing to apply to dental school in June. WOW! Like I said too much change in such a short time I have yet to get into a routine that fits me best let alone remember I need to blog.
So until I get more time to post about all these wonderful things that are happening this short blog will just have to suffice for now. We are loving LoViNg LOVING the weather in California, who knew that you could wear shorts and a short sleeve t-shirt outside in the middle of January. I really enjoy my new job and enjoy having my nights and weekends free. Jared is enjoying preparing to take the DAT and organizing and heading this Dental Humanitarian trip.

The Final Days

It has been a busy busy few months, here are a few pictures from our trip to Washington for Thanksgiving. We were able to spend it with Jareds family.

I went and Got pedicures with my sister-in-laws Angela and Pam, the day we went it had stormed the night before and the roads were horrible so we were excited that we made it there alive.

Jareds Parents treated all the kids who came for Thanksgiving to The Forgotten Carols, which I had never seen and I really loved it!

We had an awesome trip, ate lots of food and gained some pounds which I was not too happy about. But thats life right?

When we got back Sunday night I unpacked and packed again to head to my friend Megans house to help her out with her newborn twins!!! It was so much fun and so tiring and I admire them for having the energy to do it. Go Ben and Meg!

Once I got back from Megans house I quickly made this cute blanket for my friend Ash's baby shower. I was so proud I actually finished a project Yay!

Jared and I celebrated our Christmas early because we are moving and we needed to pack it up, we bought matching Christmas PJ's and had stockings and dinner and had cool Christmas sheets. It was a blast.

Every year Jared and I get each other a ornament to put on the tree and this year Jared gave me this, a deer butt that farts jingle bells BAHAHA it was so funny...

I surprised Jared with his favorite TV show Planet Earth and he Loved it!

Making Breakfast- What a cutie!

My birthday was last Friday and my awesome husband took me to a workshop where I could make watchbands for a watch/bracelet Jared let me make five bands and I got 2 watch faces and let me just say they are soooo cute! I love them!

I went shopping with a few of my good friends Casey and Ash and we went to Red Robin and of course I had to wear the balloon ears but I got a free dessert! YEAH!

And once again my awesome husband took me to see Megamind in 3D and let me get a large ICEE!! Love them ICEE!!

My day was super awesome and I am so grateful for all the birthday wishes and people who helped make it special!

Now I packed our whole house and start cleaning tomorrow cause in 4 days we are moving to sunny and warm California, then to have Christmas and then to a CARIBBEAN CRUISE!!!!

Yeah you can be jealous its ok.

Jared is graduating college on Saturday and I couldn't be more proud of him! He is so dedicated to getting good grades and has worked so hard to get there and I love him for it.

So in the midst of us moving and vacationing I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Years!!

Whirlwind of October

Well October was the whirlwind month for Jared and I, every weekend we had something exciting planned. Family visiting, friends visiting, going to visit and everything else. Here are pictures from our last few weekends...

We went up to a cabin in Island Park with friends for the weekend. The cabin was super nice and the company was awesome.

I went home for a weekend to California to watch my younger brother play his last home football game. It poured rain the whole night and the poor team got creamed, but it was such a fun weekend. I cleaned out the room Jared and I will be living in so it is all ready for us to move into in December!

Jared is the ward sports coordinator for the ward and so therefore making us captains of all the teams so we have to play all the sports, but it is a blast every week. The first block the sports we had were flag football, soccer, and softball, the second block we have basketball, volleyball, and bowling.

Jared and I did our first trunk or treating with our ward- I know we were lame and didn't dress up, we have been sick all week. The kids I babysit were able to come and we got them for the rest of the night which made trunk or treating a blast.

Here is one of the kids, we took them bowling afterwards and that was an adventure all of its own. 3 kids under the age of 5 at a crowded bowling aisle doing black light bowling... yikes!

We had such a blast with family and friends in October. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving in Washington and then we will be focusing on packing up our apartment to move! Time is flying by so fast!!!

FUN-tabulous Weekend!

Our Brother and Sister-in-law came to visit us this weekend with our nieces and can I say WOW we had a blast! We toured the BYU-Idaho Campus and town, went out to dinner, played lots of board games, visited Bear World, shopped at D.I., and just enjoyed company of family. It was so much fun and we were so appreciative that they made time to come out and visit us. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

We seriously had so much fun this weekend! THANKS PAUL AND STACEY EMILEE AND JESS. We really enjoyed it.

Early on in the week I got to babysit the kids I nanny for here at my house because there dad was sick. They absolutely love Jared! And here is a picture to show it, I was on the other couch by myself while Jared got to sit like this through the movie.. He is going to be an excellent dad when the time comes.

Conference

So of course at the beginning of our weekend my camara is out of batteries, so this is all I have for now. totally lame!

We went down to Utah to spend the weekend with my brother and to go to conference, here we are at his rugby game cheering him on.

Our ward has a softball team and we had our first game and can I say how much I love softball!!!!! I stole these pics from my friend Casey cause she is better about taking pictures than I am ( thank goodness).

Bad news- my camera was getting full of pictures so I went on the computer and deleted the selected ones I had already downloaded to the computer and hit delete and of course it deleted all of them. I THANKFULLY uploaded a ton to facebook moments earlier and it saved me some but I still lost some and that breaks my heart. Justin (the other half of Casey) told me his second half of his mission got deleted on accident then I didn't feel so bad after that.

All these things are better then money and I am so glad I have time to do them because I finally QUIT MY JOB!!!!!!! Yeah! WOW! My last post was 3 months ago? What is going on here... oh I know we have been super extremely out of control busy! So many things have happened I don't even know where to begin... My wonderful Husband finished up another semester at BYU-Idaho with phenomenal grades, We applied to Dental School and took the DAT, we went camping with family and are now enjoying time being with my brother who just returned from a mission. busy busy bees we have been.

We took my two younger brothers to 6 flags Marine World for the day. It was a lot of fun, 2 things to remember- we wont go on a Saturday again it was way too busy and I will take motion sickness pills for the drive there. I got so carsick I couldn't go on any of the rides. Totally stunk.

My mom bought this cat to replace one that ran away, We aren't inside pet people but the cat cant be outside till its older otherwise it will be a snack for other animals outside. For some reason the cat just loved Jared. And the funny part is Jared was probably the meanest to the cat haha weird cat.

It was cute and all until I noticed a smell that wouldn't go away and then I saw this and the cat will no longer be cute to me... poop yuck!

We were able to hang out with my wonderful friend Megan ( who is pregnant with twins!YAY) and her husband Ben on his birthday. They took us out on the lake and out to dinner... I thought maybe it was our birthday instead of Ben's. We had so much fun hanging out with them and celebrating Bens 24th! ;)

It has been so nice being with family and seeing my brother again. He has changed so much in so many ways and it is so nice to see him with such a strong conviction in the church.

Right before Jared took his DAT we had some good friends of our Tony and Jamie stay with us for a night with their cute cute cute cute cute kids! I miss not being around these cutie pies.

Here are a few snapshots from our camping trip with Jared's family, the last night we were there a very loud long and wet thunderstorm came through for about an hour. I have never felt so close to thunder I was on an air mattress on the ground and I could still feel the earth shake. it was a little frightening at times but pretty darn cool. Here is a pic from our tent in the middle of the storm.

We went to the cheap theater with our pals Ally and Carsten to see Despicable Me in 3D i haven't been to a 3D movie since i was like 11 and I forgot how fun they are. The movie was totally awesome and we couldn't keep from laughing every 5 minutes. And I think these glasses are very fashionable and am considering adding them to my daily wardrobe. What do you think?

We have enjoyed these past few weeks having so much fun with family and friends and we are very excited to start our final semester at BYU-Idaho. We can't wait to leave Rexburg and the cold and to begin our next journey and adventure in life.

Mountain Biking

For Memorial Day I had the day off and so did Jared, so we wanted to plan something really fun to do together for the day. We have another couple that we do a lot with ( Jay and Leanne) and we all decided to go do some Mountain Biking up at Kelly Canyon. The plan was to leave around 10:30 so Jared and I got up at 9 and went and rented me a Mountain Bike and a helmet and went shopping for some food to have a barbecue later. Well 10:30 comes around an passes, we are with our friends J and L now and we didn't get going till around noon. we stopped for gas and Leannes car wont start... HA it was the perfect thing to happen for this day. So we tried to jump it and nothing was happening. We finally got it to start and we were on our way. We drove up to Kelly Canyon and behind the ski resort there are dirt trails we went about ten miles down a few dirt trails till we got to our parking site and then we were unloading the bikes and getting ready to go when I accidently lock the keys in the car... which has our helmets, water and food in it. So we couldn't just go and leave.

Here they are chilling in my helmet in the locked car right in the front seat... it took AAA 2 hours before they would come out to unlock it. Thankfully it was for free cause Leanne has coverage from them. And in the mean time our beautiful sunny day has now gone cloudy and is raining.

Here we are at the beginning of the trail, we were doing a ten mile trail "mostly downhill" according to our book we had.

Here we are after like 5 miles of tough uphill. Jared and Jay go mountain biking a lot so this stuff was easy for them, this was mine and Leannes first time and it was kinda hard.

Once we got to the top and then we started the down hill the rain and cold weather had created a long trail of mud/snow/water and it was dirty and very hard to ride through, but what fun is it if you cant get muddy right?

We finally made it to the end with only a few trips and falls nothing too major, at the end of the trail Jared was a little ahead of me and it was really rocky so I had gotten off my bike and I hear Jared yell "there's a bear!" I freak out and go "WHAT!!?" He says it again, and I am getting adrenaline shot through my system, I noticed he looked too calm he was pointing ahead and I realized he had said "We are there!" telling me we were at the end. HAHA I almost cried mostly due to fear of the bear that wasn't there.

I had a blast on this trip it was so fun to be out with Jared doing something that he loves and enjoying our time together. At the end we were mostly by ourselves and got to enjoy the scenery and beautiful meadows and the quiet. By the time we finished our trail is was 8PM!!!! Yikes out there any longer it would have been dark and that would have been bad. It was so fun, and we will probably go back and do it again once every muscle in my body isnt aching, i think i will be confined to the house today i had trouble sleeping cause i was so sore... well worth it though. Thanks babe for such a fun day.

The Latest and Greatest in our lives - my friend Rachelle got married last month and here is our roommate dinner that we did the night before. Jared and I were able to visit Washington for a long weekend, Jared had been there all week shadowing dentists and Oral surgeons I came on Thursday and surprised my mother in Law. Then this past weekend we went down to Boise to attend our Nephews Baptism. It was a blast being with lots of family for the weekend. It stinks now that we have to come back to school and work... sometimes I really hate being a grown up but oh well. Here are lots of pictures from our adventures.

Roller Coaster Semester

This semester has seriously been the craziest time in our young married lives. Lets just outline a few of the major happenings that we have experienced in our semester. In the beginning of the semester our great friend Derek Johns passes away in a tragic car accident. Shortly after two employees from my work quit leaving us short handed and everyone doing 12 hour shifts and long weeks at work, Jared has 16 credits and is doing 10 hours a week of tutoring then studying night and day making it really hard to see each other (especially with my extra long work schedule). Then we hear that Jared's father is heading into the E.R. with several intestinal problems having to undergo surgery, in the mean time Jared has been accused of cheating and is being threatened from the teacher of flunking him out of the course (which would set us back an entire year in our schooling, luckily she saw the honesty and purity of Jared's integrity and its been settled). Then my uncle has had a tumor in his brain that hemorrhaged sending him into a coma, a week later Jared's dad is back in the hospital with more stomach problems and two days later my uncle has passed away.

Can you say WOW! I sure can... but let me say that each of these happenings of the semester we have learned from and sure do count our blessings. My testimony of our Heavenly Fathers plan has been strengthened. He has a plan for each one of his children, and no one is taken from this earth before their time. I am so grateful for the knowledge that we have of the gospel and the life hereafter. I am grateful for priesthood blessings that heal and give hope to those suffering and their family members. We feel truly blessed from the Lord for being alive, being together and having these experiences to learn from.

On a lighter note the semester is almost over and the end is near, my dearest Jared has been cramming for finals and I have been helping where I can. Here are a few of the happenings in the past few weeks.

Jared got his first pedicure ( treated by Mom- Thanks mom!) He was skeptical at first but as you can tell sitting in a massage chair and having his feet massaged, he loved it!

We had Easter Sunday dinner at our place,and once again I got too excited about decorating the table but we had our good friends the Quintons come over and eat with us and it was a blast, we played Cranium after we ate and we had a hoot playing.

My old roommate Rachelle is getting married this weekend! YAY!! I got her these awesome nasty 70's style granny panties which she has so fashionably placed on her steering wheel. ;)

And after one year of looking and searching for a bed spread that wasn't too "flowery" or "Boyish" we scored on this awesome arrangement! Sage green with brown and can we just say that we LOVE IT!!!! We love making the bed every morning just to look at it!

And here are the Quintons playing our favorite game with us Settlers of Catan. We are both too poor to buy the expansions so we combine our boards together to make it bigger and it sure is fun!

Well Jared is off to Washington next week for his spring break to shadow some dentists and oral surgeons while I get to stay home and work... poopie... its gonna be a long week. But good news Thursday evening all my old roommates get in town and we are getting ready for Rachelles wedding! YAY!!!

Living away from family has really made me miss family, I am glad that Jared gets to see his family next week. Really family is the most important thing in life and that is something we have definitely come to realize this semester, without the support and love of family there is no purpose to life. We are so thankful for the amazing family members that we have. We Love You!

Life comes at you fast!

Well it has been quite the start to our new year together... time has sure flown by these past two months. We just had our close friend pass away due to a car accident with a Moose. We were able to attend the funeral in Utah which was such a nice experience and a wonderful funeral besides the fact that we are going to miss him the words spoken about him were very nice. That experience has definitely changed our outlook on life.

Jared turned 24!!!! He thinks he is an old man now ;) little does he know that we can be kids forever, he got a pull up bar, Settlers of Catan and some money to play with. I made him his favorite breakfast-Biscuits and gravy and he wanted hot dogs for dinner so we had hot dogs. It was a fun day.

Jared has been studying and studying non-stop, he has quite the load this semester, we are trying to find some time to get him studying for his DAT test coming up soon. This is Jay his studying partner who just happens to want to be an Oral Surgeon like Jared so they have taken quite a few classes together.

For Valentines day I came home to a wonderfully lit apartment with candles and flower pedals all over the floor, along with my favorite- a box of chocolates- flowers and a sweet homemade letter... isn't he such a romantic. I felt so special.

On Saturday night we went out to Bajios restaurant and then went mini golfing... It was a really fun night with just the two of us. A nice break from life to enjoy each others company.

The Start of a New Decade

Well 2009 has come and gone and it has been quite the year for our little family of two :-). We are very excited to see what 2010 has in store for us. Here is a small photo recap of what happened to us.

We started 2009 off in Hawaii during our wonderful honeymoon!

We totaled my beautiful truck :-)

We endured a cold winter with both of us going to school and working hard at the same time.

In the summer I had my Gall Bladder taken out, we made a softball team, and Crystal graduated!!

During the summer break we had some awesome vacations!

During the fall Crystal started working to Samuel’s Jeweler's making lots of money :-) While I went to school. We had a lot of fun celebrating the holidays… as much as we could at least.

We spent Christmas here in Rexburg together and finished off the year moving into a new apartment.

We couldn’t be more happy. We wish you all a Happy 2010!

We Love Turkey on the Beach!

Thanksgiving came a day early for us this year. We were actually thinking we would spend it just by ourselves in Rexburg, freezing to death, because Crystal couldn’t get any days 0ff. But luckily things worked out and we were able to fly out to Santa Cruz where Crystal’s family had rented out a beach house. We left Tuesday morning and came back Thursday morning. Because of our flight schedule, her family had the big feast on Wednesday so we could be apart of it. We had loads of fun and it seemed like we crammed a whole week’s worth of activities into the day and a half that we were there. Here are some pictures:

First thing we did when we arrived was to go out and play some football on the beach. The losers had to clean up after the thanksgiving meal, unfortunately we lost :-(. After the game we played catch and sat in a hole Crystal’s brother dug to try and cool off because it was so warm.

That night we celebrated the birthdays for December, which happened to be Crystal and her dad, by going out to a local sea food restaurant.

I was getting ready to help them blow out the candles, I’m not just a retard.

Right outside on the peer, Crystal’s aunt found a bunch of sea lions trying to sleep. The one on the bottom left must of been sick because we were lucky enough to see it throw up… twice… all over his friend in front of him, it smelt awesome!

Later that night we went to the local arcade and played our hearts out. Crystal won 655 tickets and got some pretty cool prizes including a nice pair of new headphones for her Ipod.

The next morning I got up early with Crystal’s dad and did some mountain biking on the local trails. He rented me the new 2010 Trek Fuel EX 9. I was the first person to ride it and i just about fell in love. It will be nice to have enough money to buy a good bike to go trail riding on… someday.

After a game of settlers, all the guys went out to the ocean to do some body surfing.

We finished off the night stuffing our faces with as much turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and rolls as we could. Check out the view!

Thursday we got up early and flew back to freezing Rexburg, but we decided to have a nice meal since it was Thanksgiving after all. I know the TV trays kinda make us look like white trash but we were able to watch some episodes from season 5 of LOST! We couldn’t think of anything better to do as we ate, its not like there was time to talk while eating :-).

It turned out to be an awesome vacation.

So we decided to decorate our apartment for Christmas early because the next two weeks jared has tests and I have work and we had a day off together and we wanted to do this together so we did it.

Dress Up!

So this is Jared, blogging for the first time. Wish me luck. By the way, blogging with just the BlogSpot website is way too hard. I found a program which was already on my computer called Windows Writer, and it is way easier. But now onto the actual blog.

We spent Halloween with my brother Brian and his family. It was a long drive but a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of what everyone wore.

I know he is hard to see due to the camouflage, but he was an army soldier.

Later that night we went around the block with the kids. Kaden was funny because right before he went up to a door he told me he had to go to the bathroom and then walked up to the door farting with every step… I was worried they were going to be sharts but luckily they weren’t.

You can’t see very well in this picture but Alex dressed up as a teenager from the 50’s with the pink skirt and everything.

We dressed up as a Doctor and a Nurse. I enjoyed having Crystal as my nurse :-).

The best costumes by far were from Brian and Liz. They had a couple of friends who spent a lot of money and made some nice pirate costumes. Brian actually carried a real sword. they were pretty sweet if i do say so my self.
In the end it was really fun, plus we got to see Brain and Liz’s new place which was really nice, a lot better then before.

Halloween Activities

So Jared and I have been making our weekly dates very messy and exciting. We decided a few weeks back to make some scary gingerbread haunted houses from these cute walmart kits that were only $10!!! They came with everything and were so much fun. And this past week we decided to carve some sweet pumpkins. We decided to be creative and try some cool pictures to carve. They took a long time but turned out so good. Our doorstep is now complete with pumpkins for the week!

We are excited for the weekend to come I was able to ask for Saturday off and we are headed down to visit some family in Boise to celebrate Halloween with family who have kids since we don't. It will be fun to see Halloween through their eyes since we can't pass off as 13 and go trick-or-treating ourselves, we would if we could. ;) We are pretty excited to get out and away and to see family again.

I finally remembered to bring my camara to one of Jared's games, and good thing I did because it may have been his last game. He came out with an extremely hurt shoulder. They thought he had broken his Clavical but fortunately after an X-ray it wasn't broken. He was pretty bummed he got hurt but he is resting so he can jump right back in there. He is #35 and plays Fullback.

Awwww isn't he cute in a sling? We went to the Haunted Mill this night and I couldn't hold onto him very well because of his sling, haha it was funny. And then on Sunday I got sick with the (what we believe was) the Swine Flu, so in our household we had a couple of wimps who couldn't really help each other out. It was quite comical... All is well now and we are living and loving life, school and the new job. Jared is approaching midterms next week, can you believe the semseter is already half over? WHERE DOES TIME GO???

I got a job at Samuels Jewelers! I had my first day on Friday and it was a crazy day! I will be a Sales Consultant and that is something that I will need to work at being because I have never sold anything before in my life.Maybe my plasma to the plasma center but thats it. But I also had work on Saturday and I felt much more confident and made my first sell!!! I am pretty excited about this job and am so grateful that I was blessed with a job after searching for awhile.

Salsa Surprise in the Eyes!

HAHA! Ok so the funniest thing happened this evening, I made a potato and egg dish for dinner and Jared adn I sat down to eat it together. I had just poured the salsa onto my eggs and put the cap back on ( didn't screw it back on) just placed the cap on top. Jared tookt he bottle and shook it once to make sure the cap was on and the cap didn't come off so he figured it was and so then he shook the bottle really hard twice in a row and the cap flies off and salsa goes everywhere!!!! HAHA I went to pour him some orange juice and i was thinking in my head something very wet is landing on my face and clothes whta the heck? I open my eyes to a beautiful arrangment of salsa on the walls the floor the table my clothes Jareds clothes and all over our faces. Jared got it in his eye and we happened to buty Medium spice so it burned a little. We stopped and look at each other and then fell over laughing!!!! It was hilarious! Even writing it now I keep laughing. here are a few pictures, they don't do it justice of couse... HAHA Oh I love you Jared!!!

Life is fun!

We had a wonderful vacation and time to relax with family and friends and then it was back to reality and job hunting. Jared has started his junior year in college and loves his classes.

Lately Jared has had some really bad stomach aches and we have been in and out of the E.R. and doctor offices weekly to try to figure out what is going on. He has been up all night several days in a row each week with pain. He took some medicene today to try to fix things and it has really knocked him out. Here he is in bed, he thought it was very cold in our apartment he has two blankets on him, he is wearing fleece pants and a sweatshirt and I am in shorts and a t-shirt... my poor baby I hope this sickness will pass and I can get my husband back to the healthy side of life.
I thought he looked so cute sittin gin bed all bundled I couldn't resist a picture and sneak a quick kiss from him. So handsome and cute even when he is sick!
Jared and I wanted to do a bonfire with friends, so this week we made that happen with 3 other couples who we are great friends with. We went to the sanddunes in Rexburg and burned some crates and had a blast! We roasted hot dogs, smores, marshmellows, star bursts and did a new treat we had never heard of Banana boats which were so delicious! If you want the recipe you can just look up campfire treats and you will be sure to find it. In the picture below the fire was really big and super hot and Jared and his buddy Taylor decided who could roast another kind of weenie longer( ;) )... HAHAHAHA it was funny to watch!

And here he is again standing on the fire after we put a crate on, the little daredevil I'm surprised his shoes didn't melt off.

There was a few other groups there while we were there, one group was full of freshman (maybe highschool) girls and Taylor, Jared and another couple in our ward Evan and Tiffany decided to crawl like spiders on the sand hills and sneak up on them. It was a hoot to watch, they said once they got close enough to hear the girls they were talking about their future husbands and the qualities they wanted in them... te-he I remember doing that. They let out a good scream once our group came at them hollering... it was a fun night!

I have been on the hunt for a job for the past month, been doing interview after interview and the whole job hunting thing is very hard and very stressful. I know the Lord is mindful of us and he loves us and knows our situation and will present us with an opportunity soon. I just need to continue to do my part and search search search!!!

Jared and I will be coming up on 9 months of marriage in a few days and I was thinking "Where the heck has time gone?" It sure does fly by when you marry your best friend and everyday is full of fun and laughter. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with a wonderful man. He truly is my best friend and true love. We are happier then ever and love being in love and enjoy so much being married to each other. The best part is life will only get better!!!

Vacation...

We haven't blogged in awhile, we have been busy being on our vacation! I graduated and then we set off for jackson hole Wyoming, california and then to washington and back home here to Idaho. It was so much fun being able to see family and friends and to spend some time together. Here are some pictures from our trips

It was freezing cold at the Lake and so I wore my sweatshirt, I don't think it ever came off it was too cold!

it was so sweet to have family there to watch my graduation and even better to have a long vacation afterwards. Now its back to real life and trying to find a job to supprt my husband through school. Wish me luck!

4th of July

Jared and I had Thursday and Friday off of school the weekend of July 4th and we took it and ran away from Rexburg! We drove up to Coeur D'Alene Idaho and met up with his Brother and sister-in-law and stayed there for a few nights. I always forget to take picutres whenever I want to take them and so unfortunately I took pictures at the end when we were leaving.

*notice the cute little girl on the bottom right looking at us like we are crazy people! Funny story with little Jessica. Jared and I decided to jump off the dock when we went to the lake the day before and little Jessica was brave enough to jump with us. Jessica doesn't know how to swim yet so she has a life jacket on. The dock is in a U shape and so we were at the bottom of the U jumping and swimming back to the beach(the top) So I jumped in first and Jared threw jessica in to me. It was cold so as soon as she popped up from the water she grabbed and clung onto my head. Naturally I started to drown, it was all I could do to get above the water to look at Jared letting him know that I couldn't hold her, he quickly jumped in and saved the day. Good thing!

Mom and Dad Roberts came down to visit and we were able to chill with them for a little bit. It wa so nice to see family!
Friday morning we drove to Moses Lake Washington to meet up with another one of Jared's brothers and to camp with them... this picutre below was one of the first things I noticed that was right above where our tent was going... yucky

After a long day at the beach, the ride home for Hanna was just too much... ;) haha she is a cute girl when she is zonked out cold Our trip home was a 10 hour drive, the way over was hard for me to stay positive and lively because I hate riding in the car. My husband being the genius that he is popped in a book on tape for me to listen to on the way home! WHAT A SMARTY PANTS... I seriously felt like the drive was an hour long it made time fly! I knew I married a good one.

We had a blast and were so sad when we had to come back for school :( but only a few more weeks till I graduate and then another vacation!!!

Drive-ins

We discovered that Rexburg has a Drive-in movies and of course we absolutely had to go. We went with three other couples and had a blast. $5 bucks each for two movies, "Night at the Museum 2" and "X-men". Jared and I made a cool bed in the back of our durango that composed of every pillow we have so of course since it was so comfy I barely made it awake through the first movie and then we headed home cause we were beat. I guess that is what happens when you get married, you go to bed early so your late nights are no more! haha but it was a blast and next time we are bringing an air mattress so our backs don't hurt and a picnic to stay awake :)

I have a roommate who got married this past weekend and we were able to go. I went down Wednesday night and stayed through Sunday and Jared met me down there Friday night. It was our first time apart from beign married and it SUCKED!The weekend was fun., It was exciting to be there for Calee and Keenan.This is Jared and I at the reception, we didn't plan to match but thought it was cool. She had a double reception because her younger sister got married the day after her. It was crazy!

Jared and I have set up a softball team for the semester. We have so much fun playing for fun. Here I am running home, Jared was out becuase of his surgery, which he has healed extremely well! He is quite the trooper and tough kid.

Memorial Day weekend blues...

Since early January, Jared has had severe stomach pains on and off. We went and got a gall bladder ultrasound for stones and they found nothing, so we tried our own experiments and found when he ate greasier foods he hurt more. So again we went to the doctor and ordered a Hida scan of his gall bladder. We found out his gall bladder was mal-functioning and does not work and that is what causes all of his pain. So Tuesday may 26th at 6:00am we were headed to the hospital for surgery to remove his gall bladder. It went well and we left at 1;30pm and had a roller coaster of a day and night. Vomiting, pain, immobility, nausea, sickness, tiredness etc. The doctors poked four small holes in his stomach and used machines to get the Gall bladder out. Amazing what technology we have come up with it.

This is right before they took him in for surgery, I had forgotten my camara and I was so mad at myself but luckily they pushed his surgery an hour back and I had a chance to run and get it. Whew! Heavenly Father loves me!

We had enough time for me to beat him in Phase 1o!

Here is the four pokes they made on his stomach they are all very small, for some reason the white bandage just happened to ooze a little more.

Here is us leaving, it took a few hours for Jared to be "ok" enough to leave, but once we left the hospital it seemed like everything was going wrong, we barely made it home before he was going to throw up, and then he was out once he hit the bed. My poor baby!

He is doing better today, he has decided he hates surgery, I keep reminding him that it will be better once he is healed and then he will realize surgery is good. Its hard when it hurts all the time. I feel so helpless at times but its slowly getting better.

In the meantime I have accomplished a few projects around the house. I have made a few trips to D.I. over the past few weeks adn found some awesome stuff!!! I love D.I. I wanted to make this Proclamation frame for awhile and we found this beautiful frame at D.I. so I finished it today!

I found this "home sweet home" at D.I. for $2 and I painted it to match my house, it was perfect for this wall, I needed something to fill it and this was perfect! I have found a key holder, a family plaque, a calendar holder, a banana holder, wooden spatulas craft things for scrapbooking, and so much more! I have spend $20 bucks in everything at D.I. It is so awesome!

Well it has been quite the weekend. Jared discovered a bump on his right forearm Friday morning. He went to the doctors and they said it was just a blood clot and to keep it warm and take some Advil. So he did that and it got bigger and bigger everyday. So Monday he went back in and the doctor said that he thought it was a sist or a benign tumor. So today we went in to have it removed.

Here is jared during the procedure, He watched the WHOLE THING!!!!! he was so interested to see the inside of his arm! I on the other hand had to tlook away the whole time and even without looking still had to talk myself down. I'm such a wimp!

Here is what they pulled out of his arm. It was a big ball of fat that accumulated right there in his arm. They said there really isn't an explanation for why they form in certain places and no way to prevent them. Interesting. We were sure glad it was not a Tumor or Sist.

He got stitched up with four stitches and a band-aid and we were sent on our way.

We are so grateful for friends who gave Jared a priesthood blessing. I'm sure that things would have gone a different way had we not had that blessing. We have been blessed and we are so thankful to our Father in Heaven for his watchful eye and love for us!

On a happier note Jared and I had a ward Cinco De Mayo party and made some salsa for the salsa competition and we won 2nd PLACE!!!! Woot Woot! We went to eat some of the salsa today and it had marinated all night and is very VERY very spicy!! It is now just for Jared, i can't handle that spicyness. Jared also won the Cinco De Mayo extreme musical chairs, we were full of prizes when we left! It was a blast!

Spring Break Relaxation...

Well we finally finished our long and stressful Winter semester at BYU-Idaho... and we had a nice long week to relax and not worry about classes, school, and homework. We kicked off the week with Easter. We did some easter baskets for each other and hid them in our apartment. We got goodies from movies to candies... we cooked oruselves up a nice big Easter dinner... As you will see in the picture I do not have a table cloth that fits the whole table but it was easter themed so we used it anyways...

The rest of our week was filled with movies, bowling, game nights, cooking nights, picnics, ice cream and bike rides! Jared bought me a purple bike this week so we could ride bikes together and now start riding to school to save on gas and get some exercise. We tested them out Saturday and it was so much fun. So now we sit here on this beautiful day getting back from the park with another picnic and games, a little suburned getting prepared for another semester that starts tomorrow ( My last semester!!!!!!).... I will only have two classes, a job, and have my internship with LDS Family Services. I am pretty excited for this next and final semseter... then I can start being the sugar momma and help put my wonderful husband through school.It took him quite awhile to find his hidden basket in the dryer... I felt so proud that I could hide something so good in a small apartment!He was proud of himself that I too took a long time to find my basket and that he was able to hide from my "women eyes"... hahaDinner: Ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, pretzel jello salad, martinelli's and Santa Fe ceasar salad! yum yum yumMy new PURPLE bike that I love! Jared was so sweet to buy one for me! He loves me!

I love picnics and we went on a few this week cause the weather is nice and it isn't supposed to stay nice for long so we definately took advantage of it!

Finally after a long week of finals we are able to have a week to relax! We have had a lot of fun these past few weeks. Here are some picutres of our lastest events...

These are my roommates from the beginning of college... The one in the middle ( Kelsey) graduated along with our 6th member who wasn't there that day, Calee, who is also getting married June 5th. We decided to do a girls lunch before finals set in and before we wouldn't see each other as much as we have been. It was a blast to visit and chat with the girls.One beautiful Sunday morning turned white with a very big and long snow storm. We are on the wind side of the apartment complex and when the snow let up after 6 hours of falling. this is what blew into our entry way on the second floor under an awning... we had to get a broom so we didn't track any into the house... we thought it was funny but were grateful we had a warm apartment to be in.

For conference weekend Jared and I were able to drive down to Bounitful and meet my parents and our good firends the West's for the weekend. It was a very fun weekend filled with mov ies and skip-bo tournaments. my parents took us all out to a japanese restuarant where we got to try different kinds of sushi. Some were good and others tasted like poop. We decided that sushi wasn't worth the price you have to pay for it. But we had fun being in a little booth where we got to take our shoes off adn eat seating indian style.

My dad really liked that stuff in front of him... I don't know what it was called but it was good.

Here are my two girlfriends who graduated this semester, the one on the right will be getting married in June. I am so excited for them to go off and start life in the 'real' world!

So since we have lots of time with finals being over I decided it would be a good idea to do some spring cleaning... this was Jared's response to my suggestion, as he is cleaning and organizing the shelves. So this mornign we cleaned cleaned cleaned the apartment and it is looking really good now. we are enjoying our time to relax and do whatever we feel. We went to a movie this afternoon "Fast and Furious" it was a stupid movie with some very unnecessary scenes in it. We almost walked out, so don't go see it. We are now sitting and enjoying the thuderstorm. It has been a very nice relaxing day. I am excited to have an entire week of ths next week before school starts again.

Thank God for insurance!

So this month has not been the happiest month with health issues in our family. Jared has been having quite the stomach aches lately and after nagging him he finally decided to go to the doctors. The thing with the doctors though is that they never really seem to know what is going on. Jared believes he had some Gall stones. The doctor first didn't listen to our whole story of the symptoms, and then wanted to prescribe Jared some medicene right off. PSH! heck no... so we suggested looking at the gallblatter through an ultrasound. During the course of all these visits Jared had some pretty bad stomach aches. One really bad one had happened the day before we went in to see the doctor for the ultrasound of his gall blatter. That was when he thinks he passed the stone. He had all the symptoms for gall stones, just wrong timing with the check-ups ( he should have listened to his wife earlier and went in sooner ;) ). But he feels great now ( to my relief) and hasn't had a stomach ache since. Weird

Well right after Jared gets better I have a random stomach attack Sunday morning that lasted maybe 15 minutes and included a whole body sweat and shakes and throwing up. As soon as i threw up i was fine. The funny thing I had been having some sharp pains in my lower stomach for a good week now, and that is exactly where it hurt sunday morning. It hurt so bad my body threw up. Interesting. So it was my turn for an ultrasound, but everything was normal so the mystery is still unsolved. Also to add to the excitement, they gave me some antibotics for another problem that I have been having and tell me that it interferes with birth control and I should watch out for the next two weeks. That is exactly what a couple wants to hear after being married for 3 months... UGH! But with at least 5 doctor visits and two hospital runs insurance should come in handy right? With the insurance company we have now we will probably pay for all of it. It seems that when you get married and come to school here, the schools insurance company thinnk they should charge you more money for coverage and cover less... see anything wrong with that? I think that they think since you are married you have more money... haha we will be switching companies very very soon!

DECOR!!!

Ok so we finally got our big pictures, we found out the office here at our apartment complex was holding onto them for a week and was not going to call us and tell us they had them. Stupid! anyways so yesterday I decided to decorate the apartment a little more since some of our pictures had come. We have a ton of pictures and picture frames so I wanted some filler wall decor.

So I headed down to Idaho Falls to Ross and found a ton of cool stuff!!! I was so excited to get back home adn show jared and start decorating. Here is what we came up with... This is one of the big pictures we got. I'm still trying to work on this wall it feels a little empty to me. But I wanted to show the picture. Its a little blurry sorry about that.We had gotten a Target giftcard this day, and I stopped by Target to use it except I couldn't find anything desirable to buy. So I got clever and thoguht I would surprise Jared with these T.V. Stand Eating tray things. He works from home and was using a chair as a table and the couch and is was causing some back problems so now he has a little desk. But I wanted to show that I bought some drapes at Ross, you can't see but there are two white panels behind a sage green panel. it gives the room some extra color. also I added thsoe cool candle holders over the T.V. that spot was empty and needed to be filled. :) Here is our new and improved Bedroom. This was my project for the day. I bought these drapes at Walmart and that is the big picture on Canvas that we got in finally. I also bought those three pillows on the bed to make it look like a nice bed and add some decoration.

Ok Here is my favorite part of the day. I bought the "Forever" letters at Walmart, painted them brown and then put some of the pictures that we do have in frames and made that display. Also while at Ross I cound those 3 star shaped wall decor while browsing. The two outside ones have moons on them and the middle is a mirror. Then I discovered that really cool big star/moon/sun thing at ross that just happened to match the three little guys. I was having so much fun shopping for decorations!!! Now I can't wait to get all of our pictures here so I can do the smaller projects to finally complete our apartment and get the random people out of the frames that are on our wall. ;) Our apartment feels like a loving place now. I just want to lounge here and look at it all day.

Recital & Hair Cut

The weekend has proved to be fantastic! I had a piano recital on Saturday that I have been preparing for for a month now. I played Mozart's Fantasy in D minor and totally nailed it!! I had practiced it a few mintues before the recital and had a few iffy spots but once I got up there they didn't matter. I felt like doing a high kick right there on stage!

So later that night I decided to finally give Jared a haircut. He needed it badly. I have never cut hair before so I was a little nervous. But luckily the hair kit had a little instruction manual and Jared knew what he liked and it worked out great. It only took me an hour, for my first time I thought that was pretty good. I am really proud of myself cause I think he is looking pretty good with his new haircut. Next time I wont wait so long to cut it cause it was a little hard to do it with longer hair.

Welcome to the Roberts

Well I finally decided to sum up the courage and create a blog for our family. I've been wanting to for a few weeks now, but just haven't had time to sit and figure it all out. Plus my relief society was doing a blog night to show "New Bloggers" such as myself how to do it, so now I feel better about it.

We had a perfect fairy tale wedding in California and Washington. We couldn't have asked for anything more it was better than perfect. We enjoyed a full week in Maui basking in the sun and warm weather before making the long road trip back to the frozen tundra of Rexburg, Idaho. But we made it back in time to get our apartment running and to attend another school semester at BYU-Idaho.

We are all moved into our apartment finally (minus pictures on the walls, we are still waiting on those but they are coming... hopefully). Our apartment is very nice we were very blessed with the gifts that were given to us, I feel we are better off then most newlyweds. The apartment complex unfortunately did not pay the small amount of extra money to do some insulation in the ceilings so we hear everything downstairs and upstairs. Conversations, music, bathroom business, fights, television, everything. And it is pretty annoying all the time, so much we are already contemplating moving. We try to stay extra quiet cause we hear how loud everyone else is... so when we do make a small amount of noise we immediately get banging on the ceiling. when that happens I really feel like shouting into the floor but i'll save that for another day when its worth it. Maybe when we are moving and they can't come beat me up :)

We love being married, being able to hang with your best friend all day and do whatever you please, whenever you please. It is so much fun!

We have already had a loss in the family... Jared's truck (Sally) crashed and died. We have found some cool friends in our ward and were headed up to Kelly Canyon to snowboard with them. We bought thermals, gloves, goggles, tickets, and so on for this trip. We didn't anticipate the night was going to be so expensive for us. We hit a solid road of ice, we slid and bulldozed over a thick wall of ice. We never even made it to hill. We waited for 2 hours for a tow truck and then headed home. What an awesome night. Luckily there were no injuries and we had insurance, and good thing too cause we definately needed the insurance after finding out all the damage and having to file the car as totalled. But all was well we found a new car for a smokin good deal and haven't looked back since. Welcome to the family "Double D" (D odge D urango).
